Belarussian President Meets President Of Russia's Chamber Of Commerce And Industry

Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko and well-known Russian politician Yevgeny Primakov, president of Russia's Chamber of Commerce and Industry, have discussed building up a union state and economic cooperation within the Russia-Belarus Union. Primakov arrived in Minsk for a one-day routine visit at the invitation of the Belarussian president. The Belarussian head of state congratulated Primakov on his election as president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. "Public work means a heavy load and a high responsibility," Lukashenko said. Primakov, in his turn, said that "the work of the Chamber needs to be raised up to a new level, as do relations within the Union state".
