A formal reception in honour of the policemen and firemen of New York who participated in the elimination of the consequences of the September 11 terrorist acts was held at the permanent representation of Russia in the United Nations on Tuesday night. Memorial plates were presented to the representatives of the 39th and 16th fire-fighting precincts and of the 19th police precinct which are situated opposite to the building of Russia's diplomatic mission.
