Taliban Leaders Suspend Political Activity Of Their Organisation

Taliban leaders have decided on suspending political activity of their organisation "for an indefinite period." This statement was made by mullah Abdul Salam Zaif, an ex-Taliban ambassador to Pakistan and a leader of the Taliban Islamic Movement. "We have decided to suspend all kinds of political or organisational activity for an indefinite time period," said Zaif in Karachi. "We have also stopped accepting donations." Mullah Zaif addressed residents of Pakistan, Afghanistan and other countries, asking them to stop donating money to Taliban representatives.
