The EurAsEc Secretary General Arrives in Bishkek on a Working Visit

Secretary General of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) Grigory Rapota has arrived in Bishkek on a working visit. On Tuesday afternoon, he will meet Prime Minister Nikolai Tanayev of Kirghizia with whom he will discuss a broad range of questions concerning the further development of integration cooperation within the framework of the EurAsEC.

Special attention will be paid to the power industry, one of the priority spheres in the activity of the Community.

The programme of Rapota's tour of the EurAsEC Asian countries, which will last till the end of the week, includes visits to the capitals of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan - Astany and Dyushambe.

Grigory Rapota plans to meet government officials and the heads of the real sector of the economy in the Community's three countries.

The members of the EurAsEC are Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, Russia and Tajikistan.

Moldova and Ukraine have the status of observers.
