Iraqi Opposition's Coordination Committee Starts Its Session

The coordination committee of the Iraqi opposition started its session Saturday in Northern Iraq, in Erbil, the press secretary of the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq told RIA Novosti.

In his words, the sessions' aims are to coordinate the positions of different parties speaking against the Saddam Hussein regime and to determine the future of Iraq.

75 representatives of these parties were expected to attend the meeting. However, the committee started its work in an incomplete composition - seven of its members due to bad weather conditions have been unable yet to reach the place of the session, the spokesman said.
