On Thursday, the first group of French peace envoys is arriving in Baghdad, the Iraqi Al Qadisia newspaper reported.
The French volunteers have answered the appeal of the French-Iraqi friendship society. The group includes "civil and military experts in weapons of mass destruction who can expose the lies of the US administration" that Iraq has such weapons, the newspaper writes.
During their stay in Iraq, the French will visit some of the facilities that, according to the USA and Great Britain, are involved in the production of weapons of mass destruction, Al Qadisia reports.
US President Joe Biden and Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al Qadimi signed an agreement on July 26 to formally end the USA's military presence in the country by the end of the year
