May Islamic humanitarian organisations in Bosnia have links with terrorist groups?

Head of the Bosnian and Herzegovinian anti-terrorist coordination committee Milan Lovric said in Sarajevo on Friday that at present, about ten Islamic humanitarian organizations that might have links with terrorist groups were acting in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Activities of these organizations have been recently placed under control of the federal bodies.

Milan Lovric told journalists that after the USA had turned to the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the second time, they closed down branch offices of two Islamic humanitarian organisations in Sarajevo - "Al-Haramein" and "Global Relief Fund". Financial police of Bosnia and Herzegovina found out after the examination that these Islamic humanitarian organizations had links with the Al-Qaeda terrorist network.

The U.S. Treasury has recently demanded that the UN include another three organizations in the list of those whose financial means must be frozen by the international community in connection with their financing terrorist activities. The charity organisation "Ideal Futura" acting in Bosnia and Herzegovina is among them.
