Another miner has been rescued at the exploded Zasyadko mine near the Donetsk city /Eastern Ukraine/. The fate of another four miners remains as yet unclear.
According to the Ukrainian Emergencies Ministry, the explosion at the mine claimed 19 lives.
The accident took place in the late hours of Wednesday as a result of an explosion of methane mixed with coal dust. At that moment, there were 24 miners in the tunnel located at a 1,058-metre depth.
Rescue teams of the Ukrainian Emergencies Ministry are currently searching for another 4 miners, extinguishing fire and clearing out debris in the mine.
Over the past three years, two large-scale accidents in the Zasyadko mine have claimed 100 lives. In 2002, death toll at Ukrainian coal mines reached the level of 150 people.
The United States does not recognize the entry of Ukrainian territories into Russia. Such a development will seriously complicate prospects for a diplomatic settlement
