Russian companies are taking part in the XXII international tourism exhibition World Travel Market 2002 in London. Russia has placed considerable importance on participating in the exhibition. A Russian parliamentary delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister Valentina Matvienko took part in the opening ceremony.
Around 100 Russian tour operators, hotels, transport companies, and museums are taking part in the exhibition, as well as representatives of regional authorities trying to develop tourism. Over 5,000 companies connected with tourism from 183 countries are participating in the exhibition. It opened on November 11 and ends tomorrow.
