The US police have used confidential data, which is kept in the secret bases, for personal gain when they needed to get information on their mistresses, colleagues, journalists and other causes not connected with their professional activity.

Law has been violated many times because of personal conflicts, love affairs and sometimes just curiosity. The police used data to spy on people, changed information on them and sold it.

From 2013 to 2015 hundreds of police officers were charged with these crimes.
