Italian PM considers Russia a great country

The Italian PM Matteo Renzi stood for the deepening of a dialogue with the Russian Federation. He believes it is necessary to "bring Russia back in from the diplomatic cold".

According to the Italian politician, Russia plays an "absolutely crucial" role, while tackling international issues, including Syria.

He also said about the Russian Federation that, "it is a great country, with a great history and a great future. Imagining a future without Russia is a great mistake."

Vladimir Putin met with the Italian PM Matteo Renzii in Milan in June, Pravda.Ru reported. The Russian President made a range of statements concerning the foreign policy of the country, sanctions, and relations with the EU.
