Venezuelan fighters violate Colombian airspace

The Venezuelan Air Force fighters violated the border of Colombia, flying into its airspace 2.9 kilometres and turning back, the Colombian Ministry of Defence reported.

The Colombian air defence detected the intrusion of two Venezuelan military aircraft in Alta Guajira province.

The aircraft are also reported to fly over a military base of the Colombian land forces in the La Flor region and turned back in the Castilletes region (Guajira department).

The Colombian military department requested the Foreign Ministry to ask Venezuela for explanations.

As Pravda.Ru reported, Colombia and Venezuela recalled their Ambassadors after a border crisis. Venezuela declared the closure of the border in the State of Táchira for 72 hours, but President Maduro ordered to extend the closure for an indefinite term and declared a state of emergency for 60 days.
