Exhibition of Russian new chemical technologies opens in Sofia

An exhibition of new chemical technologies and materials, developed by scientists in Russia, opened on Tuesday in the Russian Cultural and Information Centre in Sofia.

As a member of the Russian delegation, Viktor Poddubny, said, the main aim of the exhibition and of the scientific and practical seminar at it is to restore the lost creative and industrial contacts and to seek new business partners for joint commercial activity.

Russia displays the latest developments of its leading institutions which can be used not only in the chemical and the machine-building industries but also in perfumery and pharmacology.

At the seminar, the scientists of Russia and Bulgaria will discuss the reports on urgent problems of the chemical industry and will map out ways for possible cooperation in theoretical and applied spheres.

The exhibition and the seminar, which have been organised by the Russian Ministry of Industry, Science and Technology and the Russian Cultural and Information Centre in Sofia, with the assistance of Bulgarian government departments and organisations, will last till November 1st.
