David Beckham Back in L.A.

David Beckham returned to training with the L.A. Galaxy Monday. He said his that conflict with team mate Landon Donovan was water under the bridge.

Donovan strongly criticized Beckham in excerpts of a soon to be released book "The Beckham Experiment" saying he was a bad team mate and an unsuitable captain, Reuters reports.

Beckham responded Sunday by calling Donovan unprofessional.

“In 17 years, I have played with the biggest teams in the world and the biggest players, and not once have I been criticized for my professionalism,” Beckham, who has played for the English national team, Manchester United and Real Madrid, said during a news conference. He said he planned to speak with Donovan because “it’s important to get this cleared up.”

On Monday, Beckham and Donovan said they had talked — they would not divulge details of the conversation — and were ready to move on. Donovan also said: “There’s a lot of things I regret. I regret the way that I went about this process, and I also regret some of the things I said,” The New York Times reports.

Meanwhile Beckham plays his first game of the season with the Galaxy in New York at Giants Stadium on Thursday. On Sunday, the Galaxy face AC Milan in Carson, The Associated Press reports.
