An American football defensive end, Kevin Carter, signed a one-year deal with Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Carter reportedly had another offer, that one from Oakland, but decided to agree to less favorable terms and stay with Tampa Bay.
He was originally drafted by the St. Louis Rams sixth overall in the 1995 NFL Draft. His best season as a pro came in 1999 with the Rams when he tallied a career high 17 sacks. These efforts earned him a spot on the 1999 Pro Bowl team. He has reached double digit sacks in four different seasons: 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2002.
