Actor-director Paul Glaser has filed for divorce from his second wife.

The former co-star of "Starsky & Hutch" cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for ending his 10-year marriage to Tracy Barone Glaser, according to court papers filed Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court.

He was seeking joint legal and physical custody of their 9-year-old daughter, Zoe.

Glaser is the widower of Elizabeth Glaser, who was infected with HIV through a blood transfusion and unknowingly passed it on to their daughter and son.

After the couple lost their daughter Ariel to AIDS in 1988, Elizabeth Glaser helped create a foundation that focuses on preventing the spread of HIV to children.

She died in 1994 and the couple's son, Jake, "is now a healthy young adult," according to the Web site of the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, where Paul Glaser serves as an honorary board chairman.

Paul Glaser played Det. Dave Starsky in the 1970s television show and has also worked as a director for shows such as "Las Vegas" and "Third Watch."
