Czech police have arrested a man who was trying to sell a home-made bomb controlled by mobile phone, an official said Monday.
Police spokeswoman Blanka Kosinova said in a statement the 52-year jobless man from Prostejov, 220 kilometers southeast of Prague, was arrested on Saturday.
Kosinova said the man was offering to produce a remotely controlled explosive device for some US$2,400 and as an evidence, he handed over a much smaller bomb to a potential customer.
Kosinova said that a 46-year-old woman was arrested along with the man for allegedly helping him to try to sell the device. Both were detained and face up to three years in prison if convicted, according to the AP.
