Kazakh goalie Evgeni Nabokov of the San Jose Sharks is expected to be out until next weekend because of an undisclosed upper body injury.
Nabokov was injured Friday in a collision with San Jose defenseman Christian Ehrhoff during the Sharks' 4-1 loss at Columbus. He sat out Saturday for the first time this season as the Sharks lost 2-1 at Nashville with Vesa Toskala in goal.
San Jose recalled Nolan Schaefer from their minor-league affiliate in Cleveland to serve as Toskala's backup.
Schaefer was 1-2 with a 3.01 goals-against average for Cleveland this season, AP reports.
