Russian films participate in Venice Film Festival

The presentation of the 59th International Venice Film Festival took place in Rome on Tuesday.

After several years of absence in the contest programme, Russian film directors - Andrei Konchalovsky and Sergei Bodrov - participate in it again.

The Russian cinema is widely presented in one of two retrospective shows, timed to the 70th anniversary of the festival. Venice spectators will see several Soviet films.
