Skull smuggling proves lucrative business

A Nepal woman has been arrested after authorities seized 95 human skulls stuffed in sacks from a house in the capital, police said yesterday. Police were investigating how the woman accumulated so many skulls, police official Hemanta Rana told Reuters. A Nepal daily newspaper, Samacharpatra, said the skulls, dug from graves, were hand carved and smuggled as curio items. Such items often fetch good prices, the newspaper said.
