Reservists Social Adaptation Program Begins To Be Implemented In Russia

The federal program of reservists' social adaptation has started to be implemented in Russia. General Mikhail Moiseyev of the governmental commission on social security of the military said as much Wednesday. To quote him, the program will target social security of the military, of laid off citizens and their family members, and is designed for the 2002-2005 period. According to Moiseyev, the personnel of Russia's Armed Forces will be reduced by 290,000 men in 2002-2005. This lot of qualified experts must not remain unemployed, stressed Moiseyev. The second international exposition forum called "Social Support For Former Servicemen, Law-enforcers" will be held on November 20-22 in Moscow in support of reservists.
