Only 1 To 3% Of Russian Private Higher Educational Establishments Can Match State Ones

Presently, no more than 3 to 5 per cent of private high schools in Russia can match state ones in competition, Education Minister Vladimir Filippov said during a Thursday briefing. He also said that private education, both secondary and high, is yet to be developed. Filippov remarked that only as much as 0,9 per cent of schools throughout the country are private, giving education to 0,2 per cent of children. The Minister thinks that non-state sector share should be increased.
