All-Russian scientific conference "Biochemistry for medicine" opens in St.Petersburg
The all-Russian scientific conference "Biochemistry for Medicine" opened in St. Petersburg.
Professor Anatoly Karpishchenko reported that taking part in this scientific forum will be about 400 specialists from Moscow, St. Petersburg and many other Russian cities. Ukrainian and Belarussian biochemists are also expected to attend the conference. Among the participants will be Academician Igor Ashmarin (Moscow) and major specialist in studying atherosclerosis Academician Anatoly Klimov.
The conference will focus on discussing problems of atherosclerosis and diagnosis of heart diseases. In addition, a part of reports will be devoted to biochemical mechanisms of determining the effectiveness of anti-tumour chemical therapy.
An exhibition of laboratory equipment and reagents has been organised within the framework of the conference.
