Amnesty International Posts Animated Clip about Russian Human Rights Abuses on Website

The international human rights organisation Amnesty International has posted an animated briefing on the human rights situation in Russia on its website. The feature includes several categories: Chechnya, disappearing people, and infringements of the rights of children, ethnic minorities and women. As well as slogan-like texts, the briefing also includes photographs.

The animated briefing is not accompanied by any kind of commentary. At the end there is a call for people to join Amnesty International and write to the Russian President to request that Russia fulfil its human rights obligations.
