Spartacus Ballet Staged by Vladimir Vasilyev in Spain

"Spartacus" performed by the Bolshoi Classical Ballet from Moscow, staged by Vladimir Vasilyev, a legend of Russian ballet and the first and unsurpassed performer of the main part, will be a key performance at the prestigious theater festival in Merida, in the Roman Amphitheater, which has been preserved since the time of ancient Rome and declared by UNESCO a cultural monument of humankind.

The 49th Merida Classical Theater Festival will be held from mid-June to mid-August as part of antiwar drive. To stress this circumstance, it has been decided to open the festival by the play "Peace" by Aristophanes, in which the ancient Greek playwright passionately came out for peace. Actors of various Spanish theaters will take in the performance.
