Belarussian, Kazakh and Ukrainian Presidents to Take Part in Celebrating Russian Fatherland Defender Day

Today Moscow is to host a function on the occasion of the Day of the Fatherland Defender - a state holiday celebrated in Russia on February 23. Beside Russian leader Vladimir Putin, for the first time Presidents of Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine Alexander Lukashenko, Nursultan Nazarbayev and Leonid Kuchma will take place in it.

Nazarbayev is in Moscow on a working visit, while Lukashenko and Kuchma are arriving in Russia on Putin's invitation.

The four heads of state will also hold talks on the issues of further development of integration processes in the Commonwealth of Independent States, with bilateral meetings to take place as well.
