Hungarian film Week in Moscow

As part of the Week of Hungary held in Moscow from September 17 till 24 a number of trade-economic and cultural activities will take place.

As it was learned from the Hungarian Embassy, the Russian capital will host an exhibition of quality Hungarian goods and services called Hungary-2002 and the festival of Hungarian culture.

On Tuesday the opening of the Week of Hungary and the Hungary-2002 exhibition will take place at the Krasnaya Presnya show site. The Muscovites can get acquainted with the Hungarian cuisine at the Aerostar hotel's restaurant and the Gubernatorsky restaurant.

On Wednesday in the Hungarian trade representation there will be a business conference on investments. In the evening the Zaryadye cinema theater will host the opening of the Hungarian Film Week. The programme will include "Csocso, avagy eljem majus 1-je/may /Mayday mayhem/ by Robert Koltai, Bolshe Vita and Chiko by Ibolya Fekete, Time Is Stopping by Peter Gotar, Witness by Peter Bacho and Bridge-Man by Geza Beremeni.

On Thursday the exhibition of modern Hungarian painting will be opened in the Central House of Painters. It will be open till September 30. The Auer piano quartet will perform at the Hungarian cultural centre in the evening. They will be playing music by Mozart, Kurtag, Haydn, Bartok and Brahms.

On Saturday the Ekrech folklore ensemble will be performing at the Dom cultural centre. On Monday, September 23, the Hungarian cultural centre will host a scientific conference - round table "The Understanding of the Hungarian Culture in Russia in the 21st century."
