Yakutia Tourism Surge: Over 330,000 Visitors Expected by 2026
The Republic of Yakutia expects to welcome more than 330,000 tourists in 2026—a minimum increase of 16% over the previous year's figure of 286,000 visitors. This forecast was provided by Georgy Andreev, the region's Minister of Entrepreneurship, Trade, and Tourism.
The projected growth is tied to a regional tourism development strategy extending to 2030. The program establishes a long-term target of reaching 750,000 annual travelers.

Yakutia currently ranks as one of the top three most attractive destinations in the Far Eastern Federal District. According to the "Regional Tourism Attractiveness Index — 2025" study, the republic holds third place in the district—following Kamchatka Krai and Primorye—and ranks 16th among all 85 Russian federal subjects.
Georgy Andreev, Minister of Entrepreneurship, Trade, and Tourism: "In 2026 we expect an increase of at least 16% compared to 2025, when the republic was visited by more than 286 thousand people."
The region is prioritizing ecological and educational routes. Additionally, authorities are developing niche sectors including paleontological, scientific, and event-based tourism.
