Russian figure-skaters to sue American broadcasting companies

Russian figure-skaters Yelena Berezhnaya and Anton Sikharulidze are planning to sue American broadcasting companies that were incited by the FBI to doubt their victory at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. The other day, the American secret service alleged that Russian gangster Alimzhan Tokhtakhunov had bribed judges.

The Russian champions believe that once again they have got involved into "dirty games." "This is yet another political provocation," Anton Sikharulidze stated in an interview with the Russian television. The sportsman believes that neither the Canadian nor American rivals of the Russian champions "can calm down." Anton Sikharulidze said that his partner and him had much work to do - they were to take part in about 120 shows till April. "We have no time to think about something else - all we want is to think of our job and bring joy to people," the Olympic champion said.
