"Russian Dinosaurs" at Brussels exhibition

On Saturday the world exhibition Dinosaur Excavations, arranged by the Belgian Royal Natural Sciences Institute, has opened in Brussels. The Russian exposition will be represented by the Amur region, which lies in the south of Russia's Far East on the border with China, said the Amur regional paleontology museum.

Its director Yuri Bolotsky will bring to Brussels two full dinosaur skeletons, 5 and 10 meters tall. Of greatest interest will be the skeleton of a duck-headed dinosaur, earlier unknown to science. Its full weight is five tons. The skeleton was discovered last year several meters below the earth surface near the village of Kundur, where the construction of Chita-Khabarovsk highway was underway.
