US college students do not know who Ronald Reagan was

College students at a US-based top taxpayer-funded universities were caught flatfooted when they were asked to identify former US President Ronald Reagan.

Media Research Center TV reporter Dan Joseph went to the campus of the University of Maryland, College Park to find out whether students knew who Ronald Reagan was.

The results were pretty sad.

Joseph spoke randomly to about 15 passing students, he told The Daily Caller. Perhaps one-third recognized America's most famous tax-cutting, communism-destroying 40th president fairly quickly.

One of the students suggested that Reagan was perhaps "some kind of president."

The rest of the students were either totally flummoxed or gave a wildly wrong guess. Some guesses included John Wayne, Kenny Rogers and some guy named Fred Moore.
