Russian President's spouse has been awarded a prize "For popularization of the German language"

The Russian President's wife Lyudmila Putin is leaving today for Germany on a two-day visit. According to the Kremlin Press Service sources, she is going to be awarded a prize "For popularization of the German language" in Cassel.

The prize acknowledges the Russian First Lady's contribution to the cultural exchange between the two countries, especially, to the organization of the Russian-German Festival of school children and youth, which has taken place this year in Moscow and Berlin.

Lyudmila Putin also works together with wife of the German Chancellor Doris Shroeder-Kepf on popularization of the Russian language in Germany.
