Jose Cura, a world-class super-star, will give guest performances for the first time ever in Russia.
That man is one of the brightest phenomena in world art - he is a singer, composer and conductor, all in one person. During his first visit to Moscow Jose will demonstrate to music lovers various aspects of his talent - as singer and as conductor. At the vocal concert to be given on October 30th, Jose Cura will perform together with prima of the Vienna Opera Lyubov Kazarnovskaya. And on November 1st he will act as conductor in the Grand Hall of the Conservatory.
As maestro Cura told pressmen, just before leaving for the Russian capital, he learned of the terrible events taking place in Moscow. The first reaction of his wife and children was to ask him not to go. But the musician said: "I must go." An artist, he said, "is somehow like a doctor, who cures people's souls." People particularly badly need a doctor when they feel miserable. "I shall be glad to give these two concerts in Moscow and am confident that we will perform to a full house and that people will get a charge of kindness and beauty from the music we have prepared for them," said Jose Cura.
