Former New Jersey Nets star Richard Jefferson and onetime Nets dancer Kesha Ni'Cole Nichols were set to tie the knot at the Mandarin Oriental last Saturday, NYPost.com reports.
But in an unexpected turn of events, Jefferson bailed the night before their wedding.
The cold-footed fiancé ditched his stunning bride-to-be at such late notice that some guests had already shown up to the extravagant $2 million event that never took place, The New York Daily News reports.
The New York Post is reporting that Jefferson got cold feet late last week and seems to have ended the relationship, The Star-Ledger - NJ.com reports.
Although Ni'Cole's family was informed far enough prior to the occasion as to not show up, some of Jefferson's guests did not receive information of the cancellation and arrived to an empty altar, HispanicBusiness.com reports.
Meanwhile a friend of Jefferson told the Post that he was told by Jefferson about two hours before the ceremony. It wasn't all bad for the Jefferson crew. He gave his friend his Black Amex credit card to use for the night, The USA Today reports.
