James Stanfield Photography Exhibition presented by Samsung in New York

Samsung, a global leader in consumer electronics innovation, and the National Geographic Society join forces to present a unique digital photography exhibition featuring a retrospective of legendary photographer James Stanfield’s work displayed on a wide range of Samsung’s award-winning digital technology products. The photographs will be displayed on Samsung’s HDTVs, portable DVD players, MP3 players, laptops and more. Visitors can even print their choice of five sensational Stanfield photos from one of Samsung’s new digital photo printers. The ten-day exhibition runs from October 21-30, and opens with an invitation-only reception on Friday, October 21 at The Samsung Experience in NY with an in-person presentation by James Stanfield. “James Stanfield’s remarkable photos for National Geographic have been inspiring minds and stimulating the senses for over thirty years,” says Peter Weedfald, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, U.S. Consumer Electronics & North American Corporate Marketing, Samsung Electronics America, Inc. “Samsung is excited and proud to present this legendary body of work on our award-winning digital technology with which we can respectfully display and powerfully augment the resonance of these captivating photos.” This unique exhibition is designed to allow viewers to experience this photography in new, exciting and interactive ways. For example, Stanfield’s photos will be preloaded on Samsung’s JPEG-supported MP3 players, and set as a slideshow with complementary music. Images will also be able to be viewed as a slideshow on Samsung’s portable DVD players, according to Media Workstation (CA) “The Samsung and National Geographic magazine brands stand for quality and excellence.
