Foreign films screened at Moscow Festival

On Wednesday at the 26th Moscow International Film Festival, films from Israel, Argentina, Poland and Serbia will be shown.

"Ben's Biography," by Israeli director Dan Wolman touches on the theme of child loneliness.

"Talking with Mom" (Argentina, Spain, director Santiago Carlos Oves) is also planned to be screened.

On Wednesday the film, "Tomorrow's Weather," which stars and was written and directed by well-known Polish actor Jerzy Stuhr, will be shown.

"It is a great honor for me to present my new film in Moscow at one of the most prestigious film festivals," Mr. Stuhr, a member of the festival's jury, told reporters.

In his film, Mr. Stuhr plays Jozef, a man who is sick and tired of family fights and politics. The character finds refuge in a monastery. Several years later, while he is performing at a religious festival, his life changes when his wife sees him.

Another film being shown at the festival is "Life Is a Miracle" (Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia) by famous director Emir Kusturica. After the film, the director will be awarded one of the festival's honorary prizes - "For Contributions to World Cinema."
