Days of Russia to open in the Netherlands

Days of Russia is the name of the series of different cultural events which is opening in the Hague on Tuesday.

During a week the Dutch lovers of Russian culture will familiarize themselves with exhibitions of modern Russian artists, hear Russian folk songs performed by the Russian folklore company Kalinka, and taste dishes of traditional Russian cuisine. For this purpose two chefs specially came to the Hague from St. Petersburg. They will prepare for the Netherlanders Russian rasstegai (pies), jellied fish and pelmeni (pieces of meat wrapped in dough).

Days of Russia in The Hague are sponsored by fashionable five-star hotel Crown Plaza which provided its restaurants and parlors for "Russian soirees" for a whole week.
