Half of H1N1 Diagnosed People in Israel under 30

About half of the over 2,100 A/H1N1 influenza patients in Israel are under the age of 30, local news service Ynet on Wednesday quoted the Health Ministry as saying.

Data from the ministry showed that 2,148 cases of A/H1N1 influenza had been found across the nation till Tuesday, and about50 percent of them are under 30, said the report, adding that only about 5 percent are aged 50 and above , Xinhua reports.

Some half of the cases of the H1N1 virus diagnosed in Israel are of people under the age of 30, and only about 5% of the swine flu cases were of people aged 50 and above, Health Ministry data showed.

As of Tuesday, 2,148 cases of swine flue had been diagnosed. Twenty-nine patients were hospitalized in serious condition, and five of them died , Ynetnews reports.

“Now, we have proposed to give two tablets at the initial stage itself since we are already aware of all the symptoms of H1N1,” she said.

The issue was discussed with a central health team, which visited Mumbai Wednesday and a final decision will be given by it Thursday , Thaindian.com reports.
