Simplo Technology expects shortages of Li-ion batteries to end by 3Q of 2008
One of the largest notebook battery manufacturers, Simplo Technology Co. announced that shortages in Li-ion batteries would be eliminated by the third quarter of 2008.
Shortages are the result of fire at LG Chem in South Korea last month, just when demand for notebooks and portable computers soared greatly.
The company reported that the temporary crisis had affected only small companies and would be fixed by the crucial period for laptop sales.
