Etelos, the developer, distributor and consumer of Open Standards software, offers a new service called “Apps on a Plane.”
The service exists in beta version and allows Web-based applications obtained through the site to operate offline.
The feature provides developers with an opportunity to easier and more securely distribute and support applications.
Applications are reported to be fully functional offline, and the system will synchronize any changes made once the user has reestablished a connection. It’s possible to designate how app will be changed in different scenarios.
