According to the rumors, the E3 Media and Business Summit that is due on July 15th – 17th will probably exhibit a new version of the Nintedo DS handheld.
The new model called “DS Lite” was actually released in 2006, and has a thinner, smaller, lighter version of the previous DS game console. The new model will probably have media functions, including dedicated audio and video playback, and an additional slot for removable hardware.
The rumors are based on the Nintendo tendency to release something new every two years, but the manufacturer refused to comment the situation.
The release is expected to take place in Japan first.
