Illinois "switched-babies" case under investigation
Illinois Department of Public Health investigates the case of accidentally switched babies.
The incident took place in March at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. It involved two newborn boys, one of whom was sent home with the wrong family.
Once the hospital learned of the mistake, it immediately contacted the family.
The hospital avoids any commenting with reference to patient privacy laws.
