University of Minnesota's Cancer Center receives donation from Minnesota Masonic Charities

Minnesota Masonic Charities endowed the University of Minnesota's Cancer Center with $65 million.

The Cancer Center is going to use money to fund cancer research, treatment and education.

The donation was reported to be the biggest in the history of the University and Masonic Charities.

It’s seen as a natural step towards extension for Masonic Charities that has donated $25 million toward building of the cancer center and research at the facility since 1955.

The University of Minnesota's Cancer Center will in addition change its name to Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota.
