Privatization plans aimed at mental health services abandoned
Forensic mental-health services won’t be amalgamated and privatized, according to the state Department of Public Welfare.
DPW decided to withdraw its proposal to make mental health services (including evaluation and treatment of people who are charged or convicted of a crime) private and leave them within the state hospital jurisdiction.
