Second recall of patches containing fentanyl

Actavis Inc. recalled Monday for the second time its patches containing fentanyl.

As Pravda has already written, the cause of such scaling recall is a flaw that may lead to overdose on the drug. The defect may lead to leaking, increasing the possibilities of direct contact with the "opioid" drug inside. As a result one has respiratory problems and even die.

New recall includes 25-microgram, 50-microgram, 75 microgram and 100 microgram patches with expiration dates of May through August 2009.
