The first to report the news was RBC followed by that referred to the press service of Khodorkovsky. The press service itself reported the news one hour later than referred to press service. Moscow Echo radio was reporting the news every 30 minutes. Then followed state RIA Novosti and Vesti. It is interesting that in his interview to Moscow Echo Drel could not remember exactly when his client started hunger strike.

Yuri Kalinin did not verify the information about Khodorkovsky’s hunger strike, RIA Novosti reports. “The prison’ administration has no information about the beginning of the hunger strike. Somebody is spreding this information on purpose”, Kalinin said, adding that Khodorkovsky spents $1000 a month on food.
