Russia to supply Jordan with newest aircrafts

According to chief executive of Ilushin air complex Victor Ivanov, Jordan King Abdullah signed a contract with Russian state company Rosoboronexport, on supply of two planes IL-76MF. The sum of contract is $100 millions, reports RIA Novosti.

“The main contractor is Ilushin air complex, due to a contract. And Russian State is a guarantor of contract compliance,” he emphasized. “We have an agreement with Jordan King that planes to be supplied on 2007. Soon we would receive technical order on equipment of the planes cockpits of the last generation corresponding all requirements of IKAO. Jordan is planning to use the planes for transportation purposes,” said Victor Livanov.

The contract was signed on a Russian air-show MAKS2005. The ceremony of opening attended Russian President Vladimir Putin as the enterprise is expected to be the world biggest air show and main competitor to French Le Bourget.
