Bomb threat at Moscow hotel delayed Rice arrival

Visiting U.S. Secretary Of State Condoleezza Rice and her entourage were delayed arriving at their Moscow hotel on Tuesday because of bomb threats, a U.S. official said.

There were two bomb threats - one at the hotel itself and an earlier one in the vicinity of the hotel. The party learned of the threat while still airborne, the senior U.S. State Department official said.

While Russian security services swept the hotel, Rice went to the ambassador's residence and members of her party went to the U.S. Embassy.

Rice is in Russia for two days of talks.
