Dollar exchange rate stable at UTS

The weighted average dollar exchange rate for tomorrow deals amounted to 29.12 RUR/USD at the opening at the UTS. This is equal to the official dollar exchange rate set by the Russian Central Bank for October 13. Thus, the dollar exchange rate has not changed.

Over the past two trading sessions the dollar exchange rate has been sliding against the ruble. The dollar shed RUR0.10 from October 11 to 12. This fall may be behind the Russian Central Bank's actively buying dollars on the domestic market. Yesterday it bought $1bn, according to traders' estimates. The Central Bank is also actively buying dollars now, as traders prefer to sell them.
