Euro falls vs dollar, ruble

The weighted average exchange rate of the euro dropped to 34.30 RUR/EUR at the Unified Trading Session today. This is RUR 0.20 below the official exchange rate of the euro set by the Central Bank of Russia for May 14. Unlike in the previous two sessions, the euro weakened against the ruble. On May 12-13, the euro's exchange rate rose by RUR 0.06. But the ruble has recouped its losses today.

This is due to the euro's weakening against the dollar on international markets. The euro is currently buying $1.18, having traded at $1.1860 a day earlier. The euro has lost about 0.5 percent of its value against the dollar.
